Morning/Afternoon/Evening to you all, 3, 4, 5 or more?

My prototype kit in 1/35 will be the VK4502 (P) Hinten, as corrected by Philipp, kindly,

so I don't make an A$$ of myself

I shall attempt to enhance the weld seams and armour texture a'la Martin Kovac, I have an RB barrel too and will try to get the build done soonest to allow time for the paintwork before the garage becomes an extension of the artic circle.
I know we have only just passed Midsummer, but I need to be in the paintshop before the Autumn equinox to stand a chance of finishing this one!

More soon?

Good choice Steve :)

I started the "vorne" version a while ago, it's a simple but nice kit. According to "Der andere Tiger" by Michael Fröhlich, in the end Porsche decided on a version with the turret in the middle and one was actually built. However it was never fully completed and used at Kummersdorf for static tests.

Morning/Afternoon/Evening

Slow progress due to a mini heat wave here in the UK!

The tracks are on, but have fought me all the way

The plastic is a different colour and doesn't seem to like Tamiya extra thin!

2 layers of armour texturing done too.

Just the seams to roll and texture then I can get the paint done, when the garage isn't a sauna!!

Its either freezing of boiling, no middle ground?

It must be all the asbestos panels!

The classic 1930's building materials for garages!

Where I am at the moment.

Freedom Day next Monday

Boris has lost the plot as new cases are over 50,000 a day :o

I'll be off to the Post office, then off to the builders merchants for DIY materials for the next lockdown, so I can get on with the sale preparations for 2022.23! Hopefully.

More soon?

Hi Shawn

Too many and most are boxed well in advance for a future move!

Hiding all the shelf queens and failed GB's

I have left all the figures out, as I shall seriously start painting figures once this build is complete

Its too hot to AB at the moment, 34C yesterday, though we have been spared the awful flooding the weather is bringing to Western Germany and Belgium at the moment, and the heat dome in North America too!

More soon?

Its been awhile

The better weather has had me working in the garden and doing outside stuff!

The weld seams are being a pain and I shall try milliput soon.

Everytime a mixed up a very small piece of the tamiya stuff, I was dragged away and it had set solid by the time I got back

So I have built the turret instead

More gardening ahead but I shall see how the milliput white works out.

More soon?

Morning/Afternoon/Evening

A mini update, weld seams done and they do look like a shoddy Friday afternoon whilst thinking about sneaking off the the New Year celebrations somewhere else?

Image

Image

and what will be just a dusty unchipped interior, only slightly visible at best, turret interior

Image

There is a slight modulation but it isn't really clear in the photos.

I started with the Life Colour Panzer grey set but it has died as it is old, so I'll use its replacement the AK Panzer Grey set and see if I can get something like the modulation I got on the Pz IVD?

Shawn, how did the Kirill Kaneav figure painting book work out?

Its on E-bay at 1/2 price now.

Hopefully more soon?

Looks good Steve, the welds could be shoddy, it was a prototype and may have been assembled in a rush to try and win the contract! :D
