Re: Latest additions
Got myself a little something...
I'm aware of the issues but it seems like a good deal nonetheless. I'm tempted to throw it all together to see how it works out...
Found this one on sale for 38€....hadn't really planned to get a final IV J but then I found this photo:

Some nice purchases guys.
These arrived today.
The book is pretty nice. there are several different types of vehicles that they show the painting and weathering process. A beginner modeler would want to watch some of Migs how to DVDs to get a better understanding on how to apply some of the techniques that are discussed in the book.

The tool clamps are really nice. I will be using some on the 250.Steve Hutchinson wrote: ↑14 Jun 2020, 06:47 Nice ones Shawn
I have seen the MJ resin tool clamps advertised, what do they look like in the "flesh"?
They must be easier to use than etch?
More figures and a motor cycle crew too
Have fun

Re: Latest additions
Well this just happend.
I have been wanting to build either a Stug or a Sherman lately. Its been awhile since I have built a tank. I already have one Dragon Stug 6365 in the stash. I was looking online and came across this. The stug alone sells for$60.00 to $70.00. I have a really hard time paying that price for a model kit but it does come with Magic Tracks again.
But then I came across this combo set for $70.00 on ebay. The box is huge.

Not only are there two kits and magic tracks, but it includes the accessory that every German tank needs, a bucket!

Yep. I also ordered this set. http://www.dragon-models.com/d-m-item.asp?pid=DRA6192
Not only does it have the bucket which is already assembled, there is supposedly a tool to make realistic dents in the bucket. Im not sure what that is all about yet. Funny thing is, I have never put a bucket on a German tank. I guess I will have to this time out of principle, and it was have realistic dents in it.Adam Durrant wrote: ↑27 Aug 2020, 13:06 Not only are there two kits and magic tracks, but it includes the accessory that every German tank needs, a bucket!

A few goodies arrived recently. I have two Stug projects in mind. One winter and one with the reloading crew. I believe the hornet heads are a new release and they are simply stunning.

Re: Latest additions
Nice haul Shawn, what kind of Stug do you have in mind?
In other news, Happy Birthday to me...
Treated myself to another Panzer IV...this is a rebox of the fairly new Academy kit (not the ancient 60's Tamiya clone!), certainly looks good in the box...
By my utterly amazing significant other Jenni, a gift card for 30 minutes of fun with an APC
And by Raoul, among other useful stuff, two t-shirts featuring armoured things in a broader sense
Thankfully my highly athletic body still fits inside 4XL shirts
