I've progressed to the point where I could lay on some base coats on the body followed with a few coats of Future. I'm not sure why the pics are blurry but in the flesh the colours have a richness to them that I'm quite happy with.
Cheers,
Vincent
From here I'll start to define the rust areas with some washes then mapping with oils and finally pigments.AMT 49 Ford Coupe

Re: AMT 49 Ford Coupe
I've given the body a wash using the AMMO acrylics rust set. I think its made a difference.
Thanks for looking.
Vincent
Now I'll seal it with Future and start the oils. I probably should finish the interior first but I'm having too much fun Thanks for looking.

Re: AMT 49 Ford Coupe
The first lot of oils are on and I've started picking out the trim pieces in Vallejo Chrome. They are way too bright at the moment but I'll dull them down shortly.
Cheers for now.

The interior is ready to be installed as well. I'm particularly pleased with how the steering wheel turned out. You can even read the FORD lettering on the centre piece.
Lots of small details still left to be done but I can see the finish line now.Cheers for now.
