Re: M22 Locust Airborne Tank
Finally some progress shots. I have been to busy with everyday life and school there has not been much time for this one. Plus the mojo seams to be gone again. I have ordered something quite different from what I normally build. Hopefully it will be in in a couple of weeks and maybe the mojo will come back.
Since my last post I finished building the kit. I left the smoke launchers off. I put these things on 2-3 times and each time I could not get them even, so I will be leaving them off. I may keep the left hatch open to see the interior, but I am not sure yet. I am not really happy with the paint in the turret.
I spent the entire day at the bench and made a lot of progress. Using ammo paint I painted the tank and applied the decals.
And I painted the base as well.
Thanks for looking.
Shawn

Great paint work and the decals really add a splash of colour.

Re: M22 Locust Airborne Tank
Thanks for checking in Steve, Philipp, Chris and Adam.
I stained the base and applied a gloss coat over the stain.
Filter was applied even though its no really noticeable in the picture it really gave the OD paint a nice warm tone.
Then finally a pin wash around the details.
That's it for awhile. It will be some time before I have a chance to get any modelling done.

Looks great Shawn, trying to work out, did you preshade or postshade the panels?

Re: M22 Locust Airborne Tank
Thanks Adam. I actually did not preshade or postshade in the sense I believe you are asking. I prime my models in black, then use color modulation for the paint. I just avoid covering the areas with a lot of paint that I want to look like it is shaded.Adam Durrant wrote:Looks great Shawn, trying to work out, did you preshade or postshade the panels?
Adam
For this I used the AMMO OD modulation set.

Made a start on the figures. US paratrooper on the left, British tanker on the right. 4 days worth of work here and still a long way to go.
