Great work on the camo Olivier. Did you do that freehand?
Shawn
Thanks a lot Shawn. Yes I always paint my camo freehand. I find it easier than cutting masks. I once tried some putty masking but the result was not great and the putty I used let some oily spots that were unpleasant to remove.
By the way, the best Meng kit is the Au-F1 TA one. The boxart shows it in UN white but you can paint it in the usual 3-tone camo as well. This one is the only accurate one fron the box. The original Au-F1 kit was a mix of versions and required some research to build it into an accurate model.

It IS a good kit with some minor flaws. Nothing you can't fix with references. The main issue is Meng mixed up the early and intermediate versions of the SPG. So you can build any of these versions if you know which parts to use or let aside.
Be aware that for a intermediate one, you'll have to change the tracks and the sprockets. The interior is also a mix of versions but it's a bit more tricky to fix.
