SAFS Prototype
It says Prototype right on the box so it must be OK for the group build right?
This kit been on my short list for a while and this group build is the perfect opportunity.
The design is a bridge between the AFS Mk2 and the SAFS Mk1.
The base kit is from Wave from 2017. The two tan boxes are accessories from Pink Tank . One is to improve the kit manipulators. The cube box is a rocket launcher carrier that clears mine fields.

Re: SAFS Prototype
I've made a little progress on this since my first post.
The build was straight forward but the surface prep work needed extra attention because of the paint.
Metallic finish is a combination of Alclad and Gunze lacquers plus a few pathes of bare metal foil..

I know enough about bare metal schemes to be afraid of them I can't even begin to imagine the effort you put into this!

I gave up aircraft modelling because of Alclad....Philipp Gross wrote: ↑02 Nov 2021, 22:31 I know enough about bare metal schemes to be afraid of them I can't even begin to imagine the effort you put into this!

The bare metal looks great but it looks way to clean. Time for some weathering.
