LT-5 Beetle
The Schenkle is such a massive involved kit, I need something to take the edge off.
Last year I acquired three long OOP resin kits from the Junk Tank Rock series. I've already built a couple of them, the LT-7 Tiger and the JTNCA. These are intended to be 1/35 scale small one man walkers. The LT-5 I just can't see as 1/35 though. It would just be too cramped. I built one a number of years ago as 1/48 and I plan to do the same here.
This version is slightly different with a longer gun, extra armor and sensors. You can see the 1/35 figure in the parts pile. The 1/48 turned shells is an old set of AFV club Tiger ammo.
It should be a quick fun build.

I already found myself having to scratch build a missing piece.

Re: LT-5 Beetle
Pretty straightforward build even with the extra and rebuilt details. I raided a HobbyBoss 1/48 T-34 for some of the bits and also used a few left overs from a 1/48 Stug 3. I can't recall the resin figure maker but it has some nice details for 1/48.
Next is a nice simple base.

Re: LT-5 Beetle
The 1/48 scale figure does scale to it much better than the 1/35th!

That was quick
I really like the design, it's exoctic without going overboard.

Philipp - The Junk Tank Rock series is all kinds of awesome! I really wish the creator Toriyama-san would release kits again.
Here are a few other of his designs. https://www.scalemates.com/brands/junk-tank-rock--2762 all kits are OOP so any for-sale listings are likely recasts.

Now with primer. It may stay like this for a while until the weather cooperates for a real painting session.

Now this is something really unique and cool. Looking forward to the paint when you can get to it.
