Heading towards completion!
Running gear on. Very fragile, the attachment points are tiny and it was difficult to keep all the running gear square. Once the styrene cement had set up I added a blob of superglue at the back to reinforce it all. Pigments are VMS, I love the binding solution and the fact you have a few hours to tidy it all up before it sets permanent.
Chipping started (sponge then 5/0 brush), darker "steel" colour to follow for depth. Some of the details are also painted.
Back to near normal roster this week so building will slow, but hope to get it off the bench by the middle of May if possible.

Yup, it did, but I’ve become a real fan of Martin Kovac and his YouTube channel. Not prepared to spend the 70+hrs on chipping he did on his latest build, but I like his techniques.

He does have a great channel. He spends so much time weathering and finishing models. But his results are stunning.
