No spares, only Meng nuts
I guess it turned out halfway decent...?
The beast in all its glory:
Turns out you can't open the turret hatch when the turret is elevated, so I've closed it for now. I might yet add a figure standing outside, probably from the set that comes with the kit.
And while I'd like to declare the build phase finished, I still need to scratchbuild a small gun travel lock. For once I can't blame Dragon, this feature was only discovered when the wreck was found in 1999. This kit however first came out in 1998. Thankfully I have Nuts & Bolts 25, which provides good photos and plans.

Hi Philipp,
Looks good! The little extras added should enhance the final result.
Can't say i have seen many of these models built. Didn't Shawn do one a long time ago?
An eye catching colour scheme in mind?

Thanks Woody!
I don't remember any of these on this site or the previous ones....but Raoul did build one long ago. Maybe he wants to share some photos
I guess I'll do a "regular" three colour scheme, possibly with green as the base coat instead of dark yellow. I'm really,
really,
really tired of all these "May 45" red primer models.

Looks impressive with the turret on Philipp. A dark green base makes more sense too.

Thanks again Vincent
I've scratched the gun travel lock. Nuts&Bolts says there were two, the new Dragon kit says there was one, I say I'm lazy and one is enough

You could always claim one got lost in action - looks really good

Pretty freakin awesome! I don't recall seeing a KB builds with the guns fully elevated. It's a unique detail.

Nice Philipp, I love the look of the aircraft style ball turret on a tank.

Thanks everyone!
Bryan, I don't think I've seen that many built Kugelblitz kits to begin with. Seems to be a rare thing both real and in scale
I've built a figure from the set that came with the kit, with a better head from the spares box:
As for the tracks, I think I'm about to commit a little heresy
