Trumpeter PLA type 62 light tank

Not really a lot of reference pictures out there, but managed to find a few like this

The kit it self is really nice, although a few issues like soft plastic and separate track links comes to mind  . That aside, it is almost just to shake the box and the kits seems to fall together by it self :D .

BTW, anybody got a good SBS to make separate tracks? I find it quit scary.

Can't say I've seen this kit being blogged before, so I'm looking forward to yours :D

My method for individual track links is to glue a run together and then wrap it around the wheels before the glue has set. Ideally you should be able to remove the tracks as a whole afterwards to paint them separately.

Not my tank, but here's how it looks: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=528&start=90#p8280

Interesting model s it is rarely seen in the forums. When it was released I wanted one but I haven't still bought my sample. Maybe one day when the stash is low enough again.
Enjoy your build.

Nothing to add to Philipp's method for the indy tracks assembly.

First part of the build is fairly straight forward, everything fits perfectly so far.

Construction of the tracks where not as scary as I expected, think I will be able to fix them ok once everything i painted and cover the small mistakes with mud 8-)

Looks good so far. You could give a bit more tension to the tracks just under the sprockets.

A T-54 with the size and firepower of a T-34/85, what's not to love?
