Nice work on the soldering Shawn, so much more durable than CA.

Thanks Adam, Philipp, and Vincent.

Most of the construction is done. I need to get a few of the sub assemblies painted and then I can finish the final assembly.

The cab and chassis are glued together. I had some problems aligning the cab which actually sits about 1.5mm off center on the frame. You really can't tell but I hope everything will look alright in the end.

Ammo racks added to the box. This took sometime, and several attempts.

Finally, the Flak 30. Two kits later, it is done.

Thinking about painting it like this with the Flak, German Grey. I just recently received Vallejo Caunter paint set. :D

Thanks for looking!

The Flak 30 came up nice Shawn. I live the Caunter Scheme. It has great visual interest and has hard edges which means you can mask it accurately. I think the juxtaposition of the Flak and the vehicle colors will be great, even better if you add an aerial recognition panel/flag.

Lovely clean work Shawn. All that detail should come up a treat under some paint. :)

Thanks Vincent and Adam

Adam- I am definitely going to add a recognition flag. :D

I have finally permanently attached all the main sub assemblies and so far I am happy with the results.

Taking break from the vehicle, which I should have done along time ago, I started on the base.

I started with a wooded frame which I added some trim work around it. Then some Plastic card and Styrofoam, I came up with this.

Image

Then using some Woodland Scenic Rocks molds and foam board I ended up with this 8-).

Image

Plaster Cloth from Woodland Scenic was used to cover the base, and some additional rock molds were used to fill in the voids. :D.

That's an amazing looking base Shawn! :D
Adam- I am definitely going to add a recognition flag.
If you do, please cover or blur out the naughty symbol in the middle on your photos. I know it's ridiculous, but I don't want to take any chances with German law :|
