Re: Lebanese Tiran 5
That was the plan. Don't worry about it though. I found what I needed or can make work in my spares box. Thanks for offering to do it though.

I had a look at the plans last night, no part numbers for the sprues.

I want to bend the radio aerials forward and tie them down. I have some rigging elasticated fibers for the tie downs but does anyone have any advice on how to been the antenna bases? In real life they are big springs so would bend forward with the aerial. Do you think I could heat them and bend them?

Re: Lebanese Tiran 5
I have found aftermarket spring bases that are real springs and therefore flexible. Bit loath to buy yet more aftermarket

Yes if they are resin ones. I read the next post saying you found AM antenna bases with a real spring which is good.
You have resin bent springs in a antenna set by Djiti productions. They are for US radios but look very similar to those used by IDF.

Maybe you could cut the plastic part and redo the spring section with wire?

The number wasn’t on the instructions but there is a number on the sprue which may be the one you are after - 19113034.Mark Aldrich wrote: ↑27 Feb 2019, 17:36 Adam,
Do your kit instructions tell you the number for the J sprue?

Re: Lebanese Tiran 5
Maybe drill it lenghtwise first and insert some flexible rod to give it stability, then wrap the wire around where it's supposed to bend? Back in the day I did this with my (still unfinished) Kelly's Heroes M4A3.Adam Durrant wrote: ↑02 Mar 2019, 22:48This I am prepared to do!Philipp Gross wrote: ↑02 Mar 2019, 21:09 Maybe you could cut the plastic part and redo the spring section with wire?

As for the question regarding the T-54 turret ring sponsons, regrettably even my nice new book doesn't answer that...maybe photos of stripped down wrecks could help.
