Re: Tamiya 1:35 35197 Stug III G
Afternoon gents
Got some paint on this one, at long last. its very cold here with "wet" snow forecast for tomorrow?
What is going on its the 1st of May on Tuesday!!
After a lot of messing around here is the AB station
I have used this set to apply the Dunkelgelb, and it went on like a dream, straight from the bottle at 20 psi and a drop of flow enhancer, just to please my own paranoia.
I took photos during the AB work, but the LED work lighting spoiled them
back inside the house
Tracks primed and a red brown base for further track paint effects
It felt good to do some AB work, but I am still rusty, hopefully the SturmTiger will be a better job.
Still time for the 2 figures a base and inside the finish line, end of July? isn't it?
More soon?

Opps,
and I shall repeat that 3 times
Ready for weathering with washes on this one
I still have until the end of July and am itching to build again, I can only take so much painting!
Need to sniff glue again
More soon?
Before the end of the dead line, certainly
Regards

Re: Tamiya 1:35 35197 Stug III G
Opps
Sorry chaps its been awhile and this one is nearly finished
Quick recap, this is now not just a rewind GB but 1 of 5 paint and weathering technique builds for my bigger project for 2018,
**************Dunkelgelb **********
and its many variations in propitiatory products available for the air brush
The Breda is done, the SturmTiger prototype is modulated, the Maultier 4500 is primed, there is also a Pz III J early 5cm L42 primed in the wings for a DAK finish.
The Breda was weathered with pigments, this one will be weathered with washes of 502 pigments
and here it is
Next will be 822 for moderate chipping, then catch up with the bits I have missed, some graphite on the tracks, a couple of handles to wood effect and she will be done
The figures and base will have to wait for another day, I hope to get her done for the GB dead line then move onto the SturmTiger which will be weathered using the Rinaldi oil process.
Then I really need to start the 14-18 and there are the next 2 dunkelgelb builds too.
More soon?
defiantely
regards
