Welcome back - it's only been four years
My lungs still don't like paint vapours, so I had a look at what else I could do that doesn't require airbrushing. And so I ended up finally finishing this build:
I never really liked the air grille at the rear, so I came up with this:
I also spent the last two evenings assembling some Trumpeter workable Ferdinand tracks, which I wanted to use on this build. But in the end it turned out the VK4502 is a bit longer than the VK4501, so there aren't enough links for both track runs.... Looks like I'll have to use the non-workable kit tracks after all.

Ooooh that looks so good Philipp. Nice to see it getting the attention it deserves. Interesting to see the tracks don't fit.

Thank you Vincent
The tracks were an unpleasant surprise, but if I get around to build something else that uses them, I can at least save some time

Re: Hobby Boss VK4502(P)
I assembled the kit's own tracks and I guess I can now start painting:
The kit's tracks were okay, I only had to use an excessive amount of glue to keep them together

Painting is the best part of the build I think.

Not sure what's wrong with me, but I've been on a roll for the last few days
The camo scheme is loosely inspired by the real "11" as seen on page 1. The large turret numbers are handpainted, like the real ones. They turned out a little too thick, good thing it's a what-if build
Detail painting is mostly complete, then on to some chipping and weathering. Can't wait to see how the Zimmerit turns out after an oil wash
