Thanks Bryan! The tools come with the various Rye Field Tigers, but Tamiya is also selling them as a standalone tool set. They look like this:

Progress on the Porsche Tiger Mk II:

So much for "only use the etch for the fenders, everything else OOTB in 2 weeks"

That poor underdetailed jack block will get some too.

I'm not sure why I did this (or how), but now I'm happy I did. This is fully workable, all that's missing is some proper nanoscopic threading for the wingnut.... I'll probably knock it off in a week and have to claim it as battle damage

+1, I would have lost patience with that the first time I sent a piece pinging across the room!

Thanks everyone :D

Luckily no parts launched away into the grasps of the carpet monster... Generally speaking the Voyager etch behaves very well, it only bends where it's supposed to and doesn't break easily. The only challenge is handling the tiny parts...

It was an epic struggle, but I finally got the tools on...

I tried my luck with Voyager tool clasps, but.....no. Just no. Thankfully I had a bunch of half-used Eduard Tiger sets at hand and used some their one-part clasps.
