Re: KV-5 again
I like the grey scheme. They did the same with some of the Churchills captured at Dieppe: http://www.beutepanzer.ru/Beutepanzer/u ... hill-1.htm
I wouldn't use dark yellow, I highly doubt this thing would have stuck around until 1943

Re: KV-5 again
So I took the plunge and committed to the KV-5 as a BeutePanzer.

Re: KV-5 again
Nice work so far
I have a feeling this beast would have had a few of these permanently assigned, just in case

Re: KV-5 again
Paint has been applied. Making progress but no chance this will be finished by the end of the month.
The smaller markings are airbrushed thru Alliance Model Works stencils. The larger crosses are sprayed thru hand cut frisket. The 14 is a spare decal from a 38(t).
Anyone know what colors the rear tail light lenses should be on a KV? Also, what about the lenses on the German round old style tail light?(not seen in photo)

Re: KV-5 again
Most impressive Bryan!
The German rear light would have dark green lights (photo), the Soviet version was simply red.

Re: KV-5 again
Thanks Phillip. I'm referring to the other early style tail light.
This guy. I guess I just paint it gloss black.

Re: KV-5 again
Ah, this one. They combined rear light and braking light, so both should be a very dark red.
