Nice work Bryan, with the number of sets of Fruil KV tracks you’ve been using recently you should take shares in the company! :D

Thanks Adam. Fruil really are the best for KVs. The resin pins on MasterClub are a little too fragile for these heavy long runs.

I think I'm going to set this one aside. After some further discussion and research, there are just toooooooo many errors on this kit.

Wrong...
Roof layout
Acorn periscopes
Gun Mantle
Gun Shield
Hull top armor plates
Nose corner plate
Periscope guards
Transmission deck
Road Wheels
Return rollers
Casemate location

The main guy at PanzerArt is working on a correction/conversion set but it could be a while.

Life is too short for crappy kits.

It is soo sad that in todays age we still have to deal with shoddy kits. Now I don't know the history of your kit so I have no idea how much actually data is available to go off. However, The Nagmachon is available and Tiger could have gotten as many pictures and measurements as they wanted and they still messed it up. Hope your build doesn't stay stalled for too long.

The tail light is correct

Mark - There is no surviving example of a KV-7 but there are 2D drawings and enough photos available to make a decent go at one. Trumpeter just didn't want to spend the time and effort and rushed something out.

Since I'm avoiding working on other kits at the moment I need to keep my workbench occupied. I dug this kit out off the shelf of shame and am having another go at it. I'm not going to fix any of the errors listed above - that would require starting over  - but I decided to finish what I started and add a few of my own errors.

Photos soon.

When in doubt, turn it into a fictional series production version. Surely that odd roof was way too complicated for mass production

I'm not sure on the symmetrical stowage after looking at the photos. Will work on that next.
