Super glue De bonder should do the trick.
You should have some for all those just incase moments?

I have a bottle of CA glue debonder somewhere....bought it back in the day after spilling half a bottle over my Panzer III N, that was my first blog on Modelarmour.....

Of course I can't find the debonder thanks to the general chaos during the move and the only store in Frankfurt that had it on sale no longer does so. Ordered some online, until it arrives this is on hold...

A new sharp blade can do the trick as the surface is fully flat.

The star however isn't solid but made up of tiny ribs that will certainly break if I apply any mechanical force. The debonder should arrive next week, in the meantime I have enough other projects to take care of

Apologies for the lack of progress, but the last few days were a little exhausting for me...both thanks to the weather and various other things all pounding in on me at the same time.....

I won't bore you with details, so here's the beast with a base coat of Tamiya XF-66 "Light Grey". Saumur did paint their tank in a similar colour fairly recently and I'll assume that they know what they're doing. In any case the camo scheme will hide most of it.

Soooo....colour time!

I was about to clad the whole thing in masking tape.......and then grabbed a flat brush and some extra thin Tamiya paints...

I've seen this method being used by other modellers a few times and, in theory, several thin layers will look just like airbrushed in the end. So I did just that and ended up with this:

First layer:


End(?) result:



Of course there will be heavy weathering on top of it...
