Thank you Steve! :D

I'm halfway happy with the results. I plan to have the tank plowing through heavy terrain, so at least the lower half should be reasonably dirty. I might add a French infantryman, but haven't decided yet.

Looks great Philipp!

I have to concur here with Steve - dust it, don't mud it!
It looks really good, no brush marks to speak of!
It would have got stuck immediately anyway when confronted by a trench system  .

Seriously, why do so many sides in the great war build tanks that really CAN'T cross trenches? ;)

Best regards

Nice job hand brushing the Tamiya. That paint isn't easy to brush.

Thanks again everyone!

Raoul, are you suggesting the western front of WWI was at times not a blood-soaked sea of mud from August 1914 to November 1918? :P

Bryan, some other brand might have been better and easier, but I had to use what I had available. Supposedly that paint retarder Tamiya is selling makes them a lot easier to brush. I need to remember that before I try this again. If I try this again

Thanks gents! :) To my surprise it seems to have worked out just as intended, even with less than optimal paint.

I try to get the detail painting done today, more on that soon.

After a break that turned out way too long I finally tried to continue with this thing. Did another clear coat to seal in the decals, which set off the smoke alarm for the first time since I live in this place. In addition I felt rather dizzy afterwards. Looks like I finally need to get a spray cabin... :?
