This is where I'm at currently,

I need to add a fair amount of pigment to the groundwork to get it to match the mud on the FT-17. The figure is a work in progress, I'm a novice figure painter but I'm pretty happy with his face, just need to keep working on the clothing.

Still aiming to be finished by 11/11/18 :D

I used the AK Interactive diorama range product “Muddy Ground”. It’s an acrylic paste and looks pretty good. Drys in 24hrs and is an excellent “glue” to attach the elements to the ground work as well.

Thanks for letting me know Adam. :) There is a lot of choice for mud these days.

All done. Pics will be taken tomorrow, 11/11 our time and sent to Phil.

Overall,
Kit - The Meng Kit is nice, I found no major fit issues and the level of detail is excellent and it could easily be built straight OOB.
PE - The ET set is nice but fiddly. You also really only use some of it as they give you enough for an MG or Cannon toting tank and there are plenty of spare bits.

The hero here for me was the Vantage Modelling Supplies pigments. They are a little spendy compared to Mig/AK but are better value than the Abteilung ones. Easy to use and very realistic I’m a bit of a convert. :D

Congrats Adam! :D

Most likely I won't finish mine in time so it's good to see another one completed ;)
