Thanks Adam
I started on the first figure, Miniart with Hornet head:
Yeah, he's really happy to prove himself on the field of honour

Probably because the Field of Honour in question is more of a pathetic, not entirely sufficiently armoured position armed with a popgun in the face of one of the biggest amphibious operations in history

Thanks

I had a change of plans and picked the NCO from
Zvezda's Halftrack crew instead. Like the other fellow he has a Hornet head, his cap still needs a little adjusting...

Yes,
this head

Meanwhile the base plate is complete. I made some weld seams with a fine application of Vallejo putty and added a few of the legendary
MENG NUTS!

And here's the full setup:
I think I'll replace the binoculars, these just seem too clunky. I also think I have some photoetch belt buckles and medals somewhere, these should improve the details on Mr Chaos Berserker Officer Guy a little.
I ordered a small wooden base, same size as the cardboard here. It won't get any larger than this

I really like the way this is coming together Philipp.
Nice and simple but full of interesting details. Gotta love those Meng nuts.
