Yep, a Mystery Vincent 8-)

Though someone here does know what the black magic box holds :o

An update, Ohhh that is a surprise for a "school night"

Watching old episodes of CSI Vegas

The base is a picture frame, used upside down to get some depth, for the landscaping
Image
The edges are filled ready to overspray with gloss black paint
Image
I have a plastic card liner due to all the moisture, which will "melt" the compressed card backing piece!
Image
Next is the top layers, 1 diagonal for the grassy bank, the other is a tarmac road
Image
Image
According to my guide book, I need a camber on the road
Image
2 sticks aren't enough, so a 3rd on top of them
Image
I shall put a grid and manhole cover and possibly a bench somewhere on the grassy bank, if it looks OK?
Spares from MiniArt cobblestone road
Image
The figures are being industriously prepared filing, scribbing, gluing and filling, during my lunch breaks at work.
Once they have been primed I will introduce them to the camera for you all.

I have some microscope cover slips on order, WHY?

More later ;)

I have some microscope cover slips on order, WHY?
I suspect broken glass from a lamp post?

Could be Jan, but no cigar ;)

I'll let you into why when they arrive 8-)

They certainly are Vincent ;)

Woody, they seem to throw them in with anything that has a cobblestones or factory wall,
they will look good but will need some thought to how and where?

Should be fun 8-)

More soon?

Please tell me you are not considering making real glass lenses for the cameras?

That would just be..... well, lack of words :geek:

They have arrived today, Jan ;)
Image
I need some humbrol gloss enamels to be able to make the ********** with the slip covers,
so a trip to the local WarHammer shop to see what they have?
It the only thing close to a LHS in the whole of Leeds City centre!
so, until I can get the paint, some bits and pieces
Grid and manhole
Image
Sign post and seat
Image
The sign post is made of 2 smaller post type things?
Image
MiniArt scratch building ;)
A little war time vandalism!
Image
The road side of the diorama is now waiting for gloss enamels
The grassy side needs this
Image
with a big dollop of PVA glue and plenty of this
Image
Once the spray gloss on the frame has cured, I shall line it with cling film then add the claycrete for the grassy bank
It is on detachable piece of plastic card, so I can use my static grass applicator, something I bought 4 years ago, but this will be the first time
it has been used!

This is all new ground for me and all very exciting.
The figures are progressing well, at work during lunch breaks, so, maybe some figures in a week or 2

Hope the mystery isn't too frustrating

More soon?

Morning

Warhammer don't do humbrol enamels.

I should have known that :?

Ordered them on E-bay, as I am car-less at the moment

A real PITA

I am a bus B1tch until next Wednesday as there are rail strikes next week

A 12 mile journey but an extra hour each way!

Not a happy bunny

more tomorrow?

Looks like it will turn out stunning eventually :D !

... and... well... do you need Humbrol enamels?
=>

I you find something among those colours here to be of any use... it's the 6-tins packages I won them for peanuts really ...err... more than a decade ago when one of the modelling shops here went belly up and had an auction.
So if you need any of those you can have whatever number (up to six that is for obvious reasons  ) you need, I won't use them, I positively hate enamels so would be rather happy to have them gone  .

Best regards
