Egyptian M31B1
Coming a little late but I hope I can get it finished in time. This is being modeled after the one in Batey Haosef Museum but mine will be active.
Of course opening the Legend box and being greeted by this completely but a damper on my hopes of a stress free build.

Hi Marc
looks like a really cool build
Its just a little flash over the opening?
Should be fun to build and convert
Plenty of time until 311217 until the GB closes
More soon?

Very nice subject
The warped turret is annoying, but as Steve said some hot water and gently applied brute force should help

Assembly has not been fun. Probably because I am not use to this much resin. I got all the bolts shaved off and had to use SOL fenders which required cutting, sanding and shaving. Basic fit looks ok and I hope the front attachment goes as well.

Re: Egyptian M31B1
Have not been impressed with the Legend Conversion at all! First the turret with it's sunken roof. Then the Commanders's cupola ring and secure ring are both warped. Finally the dummy gun and door is are way to small! What a waste of dollars!!!!
Noticeable Huge gap at the top!
Multiple bubbles on the turret front
Progress so far.

Re: Egyptian M31B1
That's... depressing Mark...
But I've worked, no that's wrong, tried to work with Legend figure heads.. they where all deformed, helmet rims being so thing that they where deformed as well.. when they where there at all and there where cancerous growths and what looked like plague pustules all over the place.
Just last week I've had a legend figure set, simply because it*s pose-wise pretty much the optimal option and what I need, but boy the heads... I'll have to replace them with hornet items, if for no other reason (and there are all the others mentioned above...) than the fact that the helmets are complete rubbish.
So it would sadly appear that we should avoid Legend if possible...
Best regards

Re: Egyptian M31B1
Legend is one of the few companies that has produced IDF aftermarket items. Hard for me to not use them. I just wish I had a Tamiya kit to check the fit with it.

Current progress. Been a tough go. The boom has been nothing short of disastrous. Warpage and loose fit.
