When I researched this project I decided early on I would scratch an engine. There wasn't much that would be seen so I figured the simple shape would be easy to replicate. Then I found this.

Solves that problem ;)
The moulding is quite good throughout though some pieces are deserving of replacement. Compared to my references the engine is simplified so I started adding some extras to give it a bit more interest. There was an odd channel down the middle of the top piece which I filled and smoothed with Green Stuff putty. I added lots of Meng bolts which are prominent on the real thing. I've also removed the resin shafts from the rocker arms which I will replace with some suitably sized plastic rod. :)

The engine is a major build in itself! :shock:

Without adding all the extras the engine wouldn't take long to build OOB Adam. Of course, I couldn't do that :roll: :lol:
