I beat those tracks were a bit of work, but I also bet they look really great on the tank.

Fruil's always look better. More realistic.Shawn Ramsey wrote:I beat those tracks were a bit of work, but I also bet they look really great on the tank.

Philipp told me that the kit tracks suck, so I opted for the metal. They'll look better once I weather them.

I never had much luck with link and length, getting them lined up for some reason gives me heartburn.Philipp Gross wrote:Nice work! The obsession 1930's tank designers had with tiny track links is really strange... Here link&lenght tracks would have been the perfect solution.

Good choice to paint the fruil tracks Steve
I used the AK burnishing solution on a set of T 34 tracks and it melted them and the joining wires
Never again!
Great progress too

Re: Hobby Boss Hungarian Light Tank 43M Toldi III
Guys,
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. About a month and half ago, I came home from work one morning to find that the top shelf of my book shelf collapsed. THat will be the last time I buy cheap-assed particle board shelving.
Naturally, this shelf was above my workbench and all the reference material fell on, you guessed it, my work bench. Guess what was on my workbench. THe Toldi I was working on and the AMX with the Chaffee turret that was on hold. I might be able to salvage the AMX, but the Toldi is, well, totaled. I can't even find all the parts for it.
I was so angry and frustrated by this that I just swept everything aside, closed up shop and went and hid. I haven't had much interest in modeling, I was so pissed off.
I'll be back soon, as soon as I find something that grabs my attention. I might go and build a Sherman.
So, anyone want a set of assembled Fruil TOldi tracks?

Holy crap, sorry to hear dude.
Sounds like a good idea to pause, regroup and then move forward.

That's pretty crap. Had a few 'accidents' over time which resulted in damaged WIP kits so know how you feel

Hey Steve,
Sorry to hear about your workbench disaster. That's a real dampener on the modeling mojo
If you want a fun little build that is really simple and a real joy, try one of the Thunder Models CASE tractors. Just a suggestion

Ugh....my sympathies. And I thought our tropical rainforest climate was bad for modelling...
