The hat colour is just a basecoat to get rid of the white primer. I tend to start with a darker colour and then add more lighter shades on top :) Are the colours on this figure correct?

A few quick notes on the kit:

+Nice details
+Good fit
+Metal barrel
+Reasonable amount of photoetch
+Bonus resin figure

-Lots of flash on the vinyl tracks
-Piece of string for the tow cable
-Fiddly suspension
-Auerstaedt decals not 100% correct
-Decal sheet almost destroyed itself

So, yeah...I'll probably do another one, but not in the foreseeable future. Right now I'm just happy to be done with it :?
