I'm in with this Tamiya Wespe and I plan on doing it OOB.

Luckily it comes with Fruil metal tracks so I can say it really will be OOB. Of course, I'll keep saying it's OOB until I end up buying the inevitable aftermarket accessory
I quite like the scheme on the boxtop but I wouldn't bet on it finishing up that way. I'm thinking a winter whitewash possibly? :?
Anyway, I did a bit today and this is where I'm up to.

It's a beautiful little kit :D

The boxart scheme is interesting, but since the Wespe was produced from February 1943 onwards it was never grey.

Pity grey is not an option, that scheme was one reason I bought the kit. :( Oh well.

A small update for today. I finished the gun and the majority of the hull. It's only dry fitted in the pic as painting all the interior bits and pieces would be best done as seperate sub assemblies I think. ;)

Nice start to the...and as usually with Tamiya almost completed...build Vincent! :D

The Zebra-Wespe would be nice with all the gear on it! :D

Best regards

Hi Vincent,

Nice work mate, you really scored with that kit having Fruil tracks didn't you :geek:

This should be an unusual build for you seeing as you are not going to destroy it

I'm here to Vincent, following with interest. I did not know Tamiya released some kits with the tracks.
