Re: ShM-120 PRAM
Trumpeter released a new BMP-1 a while ago, maybe that would be easier?

Resin
Run away now.
Looks like you have been successful at repairing the broken pieces.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
Just compared the kit with some reference pictures Panzershop totally messed their home work. All the details on the hull roof are wrong either in shpae or in dimension, not to speak of the location. The left side of the driver station is wrong too. Unlike the standard BMP, the side is not angled downward.
The pictures will better show all the discrepancies of the kit than a thousand words.
Left side
Roof arrangement
I guess my only option is to redo all the details and try to fix the driver side armor.
Very angry

I remember we discussed this kit on MA.Roy Charnock wrote:you have got your work cut out there olivier

This morning I began fixing the upper hull along the driver side and removed all the details on the roof of the mortar compartment. Now I need to putty things and thouroughly sand the whole before starting the build per se.
But as I have not your scratchbuilding skills, I'll keep it the easy way.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
Hi all,
I didn't give up but shifted to another project which is quite relaxing as compared to the Pram.
In between,I removed all the details on the upper hull and managed to assemble to front part and the mortar compartment.
The left front hull angle is nearly fixed.
But all the issues are not solved yet. I must say I'm far from the end indeed. The mold was torn and it resulted in a weird side skirt. I still don't know how I'll fix that. I think the first thing I have to do is remove the molded section.
And to add to the problem, the front skirt section and the middle one do not properly align.
The more I look at the kit and my reference pictures, the more I understand why Roy didn't finish his build.

Wow, that's some tricky rework going on there Olivier. I admire you for sticking at it.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
Could you build it in a "heavily damaged" state and remove parts of the side skirt?

the idea is attractive but the way Panzershop did the upper hull would mean more work than simply cut away the side skirt section. To put it ismple, this kit is wrong so I'll just try to build an acceptable rendition of the vehicle and not a precise and accurate model.
I think I'll make a mold from a correct section, cast some "sub-sections" and finally make a replacement section. It will be a long process but will be easier than anything else.
