The weld seams will look great once the paint is applied.

I have been away from the workshop for a week or so and only resumed working on this today. I intended to modify the poor doors hinges which were oversized and incorrect in shape. As I looked closer to my ref pictures I noticed that the doors were flush with the hull and not with extra width as represented by Panzershop.

So I started by sanding the panels after having engraved the panel lines. I drilled holes to help position replacement parts later on.

Here are the results. I admit they are not perfect but still better than the original ;)

Thanks for the kind comment. I'm still progressing but a very slow pace. I added some extra details to the doors. The handles still need to be glued but I'll do it after the lower and upper hulls are assembled.

I also replaced the kind of round pieces of resin by bolted covers to look more like the real ones. Still not perfect but at least at the right location!

So next step is hull halves assembly. Then I'll add some more details Panzershop either omitted or depicted wrongly. I also need to modify the sprockets. Dragon/Panzershop ones are the early type and feature 6 spokes instead of 5 only. I'm still not decided whether or not I use the Mastersclub sprockets. They would be a huge improvement over the kit ones.

Hopefully, this one will be cone for the light tank campaing start!!

That is some nice detailing Olivier. I bet it was fiddly to do. :)

Thanks Vincent. You're right it was.
I'm currently assembling the tracks using the MasterClub set. The sprockets were too much a pain to modify so I decided to use MC ones which are superb. The width of the tracks being really different between Sragon/Panzershop offering and MC, I had to use the AM set.
At first I didn't notice MC gives you special links with angled connectors which ease folding around the sprockets and idlers. This is a nice attention. Unfortunately for some reason, I don't have links enough for the two runs. Taking benefit of the hidden part of the track under the skirt just aft of the sprocket, I had to use some kit links with a bit of surgery. Hopefully I will post pictures tonight. I intend to have the tracks "workable" or at least not glued to facilitate the painting. That also means that the skirts will be added when a basic weathering of the running gear is done.

There is no comparison, the Masterclub parts are miles better. I hope after all this the hull halves fit without too much trouble.

Does this suit to your definition of a fit without too much trouble? ;)
