Re: ShM-120 PRAM
I thought of buying a cheap Dragon or Zvezda kit. I will first give a try at casting a replacement section. I have all the material needed in the mancave after all so it won't cost me anything.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
I haven't fixed the side skirts yet but am working out a suitable solution. In between, I have made a new air intake to replace the wrong kit one.
It is not fully accurate as I didn't have any measurements. I fear it is a bit to large.
Hopefully tomorrow one skirt will be finished.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
On another forum, a member made some remarks about the air intake so I modified it to have it more close to the actual one.
The styrene strips are the base for the weld seams that Panzershop omitted.

It looks good either way Olivier
Did it have to change much?

It looks good from here Oliver, but this comes from a guy, who is not very technical/accurate with his builds either. I already dive myself nuts with the work I do. I could not imagine being a rivet counter. I' am not saying you are, and if you are it does not matter. Everyone should do what ever it takes to enjoy the hobby. That is one great thing about this site. We are open to everyone and don't criticize other peoples work.
All that matters is we enjoy what we do.

I can be a kind of rivet counter but this kit is so wrong in nearly all areas that either you throw it in the bin or you try to fix what you can
Steve, the changes on the air intake are easier to spot if you compare the pictures of the intake before and after. The central "tube" diameter was too narrow as were the vertical strips. So I added another layer of mesh and made wider vertical strips. In terms of proportion, it looks better.

Re: ShM-120 PRAM
I'm slowly progressing on this one. The weld seams have been added with styrene strips or engraved with the cutter blade tip. The two white "air intakes" have replaced the poor original ones (too narrow, wrongly shaped, ill located).
