I think outside the US is is branded as UMP. I may be wrong though.

I decided to add a highlight to each to make them pop even more ;) They should tone down with a little werathering.

The Tristar 38s are beautiful builds aren't they? ;)
It's an E/F, so it should have an 7th PD option - that's the famous "Ghost Division", who's CO during Case Yellow and Red was Heinz Guderian, and it was part of Panzergruppe 2 during Babraossa.. who's CO just happened to be Guderian... also it's one of the very few formations that still had large numbers of 38(t) in their OOB by '41 ;)

Best regards

Raoul G. Kunz
I went with the 7th Div markings :)

The base coat is on. I used the new Mission Model paints on this one. I have to say that it was one of the most pleasant painting experiences I have ever had. I am switching to these where possible.

It has been a while since my last update.
I did not get much bench time for awhile and then all of a sudden I have just been going gangbusters lately.

I may even get this thing finished by June 30th (this year even!)

Painting is finished and I have moved on to weathering.

This is my first attempt using Abteilung 502 oils for the weathering and I have been liking them.
I am using the vehicle weathering set.
The weathering appears very heavy in these photos but I assure you it is not this intense in real life.
My pictures are either washed out with all subtleties not visible or over the top like these.
I am trying to depict a very dirty and dusty vehicle with the horizontal surfaces very dirty and the vertical just dusty. The turret will also be much cleaner than the hull.

Anyway here it is as it stands right now, very much a work in progress.

Looks great Dennis :D

The plains of Southern Russia have a climate that's more similar to Tunisia during the summer, so it's completely fine to make your Panzer as dusty as you like.

Lookin' really good Dennis, the 502 Oils handle really nicely and bring out the detail beautifully in 1/48.
