Re: HobbyBoss Panzer 38
Sorry about the long absence but it has been quite hectic over here.
Started a new job and a new home business, but back on track now.
Today I finished the construction on the Panzer 38.
Time to disassemble the components and get some primer on it this weekend.
Sorry about the clutter.

Nice work Dennis, welcome back
Still plenty of time left to finish it, and you certainly had valid reasons for a break

Nice work Dennis
Still ahead of most of the pack
What have you planned for the finish?
I guess the choices are limited
Looking forward to paint

Re: HobbyBoss Panzer 38
Thank everyone!
Steve,
I am just hoping to get a few completed builds under my belt before I start with any grandiose plans
I finally got the primer on. Sorry about the terrible picture but once the sun goes down I can't get any decent pictures in my house.
The primer is Badger's Stynylrez. This stuff is by far my favorite acrylic primer. You open up the air pressure and blast it on. Get a big pool of it, not to worry it will dry babies butt smooth.
It reminds me of decal setting solution. It looks terrible right after you put it on, but if you are patient the results are fantastic.
I have heard that it is also sandable, but I haven't tested that feature yet.
I am also going to be testing the new Mission Models acrylic paint on this kit. I have heard good things about it. Maybe this coming weekend???

Re: HobbyBoss Panzer 38
Looks very nice Dennis!
The Tristar 38s are beautiful builds aren't they?
It's an E/F, so it should have an 7th PD option - that's the famous "Ghost Division", who's CO during Case Yellow and Red was Heinz Guderian, and it was part of Panzergruppe 2 during Babraossa.. who's CO just happened to be Guderian... also it's one of the very few formations that still had large numbers of 38(t) in their OOB by '41
Best regards

The kit has really nice detail. Pin washes are going to look really good around all those rivets.
