It's "greyness" feels strange because we (at least I am) are so used to tank hunters as a weapon of the second half of the war, as if the T-34 and KV hadn't been products of the late 30s and encountered as soon as Barbarossa kicked off ;)

Yeah, it's from that weird transitional period when things started to change from a slightly larger European war to the all-engulfing apocalypse that brought us the high-powered hardware we know and love...
