That's is some fine weathering there Rob. I'm liking this one a lot.

Re: Chevrolet CMP 15 cwt truck 1975
Thanks Vincent
And it's a wrap, and I'm in under the wire.
Closedown Summary
Italeri CMP 15 cwt - originally Peerless Max - 1975 vintage : I'm fascinated to know just what reception this kit got in 1975. Whilst not a particularly fashionable or sexy vehicle, it was ubiquitous and to the best of my knowledge has only been remodelled by Mirror Models and IBG in the last couple of years, testament to the acceptability of this 41 yr old offering. Whilst the moulds have undoubtably been cleaned up, this kit has stood the test of time. Fit and finish are excellent. The tyres and tarp are particularly well detailed and it's only items like the side mirrors and steering wheel that really give away it's vintage. Build is OOB withe the exception of some wire and thread.
Paint : Vallejo model air Light Stone 61 and the tarp is hemp cut with lighter colours called out during the blog.
Weathering: Hairspray with ODR and pin wash with AK OIF and OIF Streaking. The single pigment used was AK light dust
Base: ready made grout with Tamiya buff/Deck tan and Light dust water slurry"painted" over.
Figure: Masterbox "Allied Forces! with Hornet head and Bronco Bren gun
So it's a good bye from him and this will be my last armour model for the time being. The Loyd Carrier is near completion and I'm switching to boats. Hope you guys are happy to keep me on.
This was Fun

...as long as you plan a return to armour sometime in the future?[...] and I'm switching to boats. Hope you guys are happy to keep me on.
It's not as if I decide anything but I'd say we'll keep you on regardless - whereto leads you path?
Best regards

Well, ships are armoured too, sometimes....well at least they used to be
Joking aside, everyone can build whatever they want around here as long as they share it with us
