Nearly everyone :( the Harrier defeated me and has ended up in the bin. Guess some things are best left as memories rather than revisited. Going to Modellbau Koenig at the weekend, I'll look out for something else.

Did you light it on fire or swing it around on a string and crash it into a convenient tree, Chris? That would keep the fond memories alive for me, since that is what happened to many of my models before they ended up in the trash. :D

Blow them up with a fire cracker was my favourite way of "recycling" my junior builds  8-)

You should do some ballistic testing. 6 mm BB is about the 1/72 scale equivalent of a 152mm AP. Everyone does that, right? :?

8mm BB gas feed Mauser 98k with wooden stock and metal mechanics... with Red Gas it pulverizes any kit more secure than 6mm  .

I used to fill them with thinner soaked cotton wool and send them burning down a length of fishing line from my window into the garden, when my parents were out obviously  :D

Growing up in Maryland, the only "fireworks" that were legal were sparklers. Whip-de-doo. To make them more exciting we'd break the flammable part off of the wire stick and then grind it up as much as possible. (Completely safe I presume, after all, we never blew ourselves up. :? ) Pretty neat when you burned a little pile on the ground. Completely AWESOME when you stuffed an old model to the gills with the stuff and then ignited that! Flames and sparks shooting everywhere. Top tip though, don't do it on the patio or walk, melted model is not so easy to clean up.

Yes, growing up in Maryland sucked. :D

I don't mean to change the subject from blowing stuff up, but I thought I would join the build. I found a Tamiya Type 97 in my stash. I am looking forward to participating.

Extra stuff that was in the box, thanks to the prior owner... I think they meant Type 97, not Type 47...
