Rob
I know Mike and he is a great modeler for sure. To make a long story short I belong to the same club he does, Thanks to Steve R paying for my membership. I have not been to a meeting since December though. In my defense I work a lot on their meeting days plus is takes almost 90 minutes to drive to where they meet.
Nice start on the Loyd Carrier and it does seem to have some great detail.

Looking great! I bought the gun kit for nothing more than to steal the barrel and brake to use on a Hotchkiss.

Thanks Mark & Shawn.
The gun is finished with final detail painting and pin wash. I'll keep final weathering back until it's matched with the Loyd Carrier

Re: Bronco Loyd Carrier Mk II and Riich QF 6 Pdr Mk IV
Thanks Shawn - Sounds like that Mojo is oozing back
So whilst the oils dry on the Chieftain and the Otter, it's back to the Loyd Carrier. Strange that the Carriers never attracted "names"
Like any Bronco kit the detail is there if you want it and there's etch a plenty. I've gone for detailing the engine as I'm going to leave one of the engine cover sides up.
It certainly helps to have a folding tool. They really are essential.
This is Gary type fiddly work.
Heavy Hint: ( and note to self on building next) - If you don't want the engine opened up then skip all the internal bracing bits - especially relating to the grill at the back. Instead just form the engine covers and stick the back grill to that if you obuild it - you'll get to this stage and go - Aaagh I know what he's talking about
In other words - use the engine casing a s former to hang the back grill off rather than strutting it with PE as Bronco would have you do. Doing this will likely cause you to live several months longer
And the bogies were all finished in what amounted to a Big lazy day for me
The tracks are length and link which is really the only sensible option. Like the Riich carrier they do need a little care in removing from the fret. Vlad will be doing the same soon or maybe he already has
The single track pieces of which there are 20 each side do need a fair bit of filing to fit neatly.
Tamiya Extra Thin cement is your special friend
The neatest link and length track I've ever built with a near gap free run

Rob- That is some impressive work there my friend. The engine does look really nice and I am glad you are leaving part of it open.
