Thanks Philipp and Vincent

Its been a little while, and the reason is I have been doing a Palette cleanser to help move through a dry patch
Its a Space Marine, from WarHammer

busy at work and off the boil with building but I have undercoated this little one to put her away for the end game,
namely warmer weather and getting my airbrush up and running
She is undercoated and the indented riveting looks OK

The shield isn't attached to allow for better access for painting so it is slightly "off" for the photos only.
It needs to be towed, so this is the one to do the job, before anyone raises a valid question, yes it is very big but there will be a reveal, later on in the build/blog, enough said for now ;)

I just wanted to paint the engine, as I had been painting recently, but I guess I got carried away!

The engine is next, thankfully,

Photos let me down again!

Any way, I hope to get some more done on the 7 and the engine too.

Hope you enjoy?

More soon?

Steve - I enjoy. Photos look fine. As does the Pak :)

Intriguing :!: Can't go wrong with the Sd.Kfz. 7 and nice job on the Marine. I did one when my son was into them. You've got to love the detail and joi de vivre :D

Steve - you totally need a Pak 43 for this

Great work so far!

Thanks Chaps

Thanks Rob, its a lovely build and plenty of parts too!
The marine was a great change of pace to spark the painting Mojo

Thanks Philipp, darn it, you have figured out the mystery part of the build!

Thanks Vincent, it will be awhile before she gets her top coat, I hope to get her looking a little like your Russian cousin!

Thanks Shawn, all sorted now, I was tidying up the files!

Where I am currently, I only wanted to paint the engine and add some bits as it really sparked my interest as a little paint project, then I needed to get the heights right for the figures I was scribbing during my lunch breaks, so I had to "crack on"

The tracks are cracking, you get 6 of these and they are easy to do, and fully articulating
Image
You will need to use the Conversion article for the drive wheels from the Perth site too
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/r ... 523d04.htm
It does work, though it is difficult for my photography to capture!
54 links per side does look about right!

The engine and heads for 4 of the figures are being painted currently, so they will most likely be the next update.
The Chassis is more or less done and waiting for a top coat, the cab and flat bed are next.
I am experimenting with wood finishes for the flat bed, so I will be checking out Vincent's wonderful SBS on wood too.

This brings me up to date.

More soon?

Sorry about that

But I'm glad you do it, that means I don't have to  I was really tempted to do the Pak combo, but now I have an excuse to stick to my original plan, which is a Pak 43 with urban camouflage, i.e. a huge pile of assorted household junk. :D

Yes, it's based on a photo

Its looking good Steve, and the big and small approach should look lots of fun!

I have the late 7 in the stash partially started, I don't quite know why as its a great kit!

Nice work so far Steve. The tracks look really good.

This half track is going to swallow that little PAK up. I like Phillips suggestion having the two PAKs being towed. I have never seen that done before.

It's all coming together nicely Steve. There is lots of detail on that halftrack. :)
