Humble apologies for the late update

Well done Philipp
You have caught me out and the surprise is out of the bag, your alternative sounds interesting though ;) :x

Thanks Vlad, it really is a complex and engaging build, I have several other 7's in the stash, mostly AA, and am tempted but will have to fight it for now as I have 3 blogs on the go already

Thanks Shawn and as a refresher this is the reference photo again
Image
This is the scenario I am looking to recreate, with little twist, something dark, but hopefully you will all understand it.
there are currently 15 figures on the bench for this scenario, the same for the T34/85 and only 10 for the Adler & 232,
all being prepared at work, just the painting to do  no pressure to be completed by the end of 2016 then

Thanks Vincent, there is plenty of detail, totally the opposite to the 232 I have just updated ;)

The surprise guest at the party

Image
I actually found the brass studs to be used between the 2 layers of the shield on sale in the USA, the box they came in was certainly safe for brass studs 2mm long

I was expecting a padded envelope!

Where ever I start with the 43, it will need soldering, so it is on the back burner until the solder hiccup has been sorted,

and the final piece for the 7, I was advised 1/2 tracks don't have track sag like a panzer, sage advise, so 1 link less and we are here

This is now up to date, the cab and flat bed next

Thanks for popping by

Going to be a great project can't wait to see what you have in store.

Those brass studs look awesome. I had to bin a PE shield for a Pak I was doing cause of not having something like these.

Am I reading this correctly? You have 40 figures on the bench for three projects :?: :o :o :o :o :o :o

I would absolutely have a stroke having that many on the bench I am so over whelmed now with the 4 figures for the Kettenkrad build and the 5 figures for my MaMa Can Diorama(I Have not even started painting these yet).

Seriously It makes me have nightmares with 9 figures in progress. I was going to have Rob send me something for the anxiety I have. :D

I cannot stress it enough I would have to just stop building models if I had that many, not to mention it would take me 10 years to do them. I have not even built a total of 40 figures total since I started building 6 years ago.

I need to go drinking now to get my mind off of it. Actually I will have to wait til tomorrow since I am at work til 0730.

Sorry Raoul, you're off by a decade with the "rad" reference, it was more an 80's thing, as proof, I off this, a movie about BMX with the word in question as the title. :D

Matt

PS. Cool project Steve, I look forward to seeing it progress.

I'll let it slide this time. Next time though a suitable punishment will be assigned... like actually watching that movie.

Hi guys

another late apology, again!

Still pottering away at the builds but not much posting, well this is a update of sorts

Getting a bit closer Philipp and there will be a surprise at the very end, if I ever get there!

Yes Shawn 40+ figures, I still haven't got the figure bug out of my system, even after 2015 being a year of figure painting for me!
With over 100 sets of figures in my stash, and scribbing and fiddling with figures every lunch break, I am still a figure crazy modeler!

Thanks Matt and Raoul and play nicely LOL

However Rad!!!

Right, aren't these the worst figures you have ever had the misfortune to see

My recreation of the tarpaulin

Makes more sense?

And the massive Pak 43/41, see it against the Pak 35!
Just goes to show what a few years of war can do to creativity!
The PE

the build

next is the carriage and there lies the soldering! and time to get back to it, again!
the current state of play with all the players for the scenario

Thanks for popping by

Steve- Do you and Raoul have some behind the scene battle with who can have more figures in a diorama 8-)

Great work Steve. You are really battling multiple fronts with this one. So Much PE and a lot of figures. Then there is the Half-Track. :D
