AFV Nebelkraftwagen and 15cm Nebelwerfer 41

Post by Rob Matthews »

Well, with no prospect of actually starting this for several weeks, this at best is a flag in the sand.

With the T-72, Otter and Chieftain all set to be finished off, I have my hands full. Either way, here's the manifesto.

These have all been collected over several years, and I've wanted to build the Nebelwerfer for a considerable time.

My enthusiasm was further wetted by these very fine people at "Panzerart" releasing this, though it's yet to hit the shops

And some inspiration pics which I always need...

I find the last particularly evocative.

And a suitable reference...

I'll likely have a scene with the crew loading rockets into the vehicle, so as to actually show off the rockets. I've just received Peddinghaus decals for the Rocket Stencils

Lat time I looked several years back no-one did them and I contemplated printing some of my own. So that wait was definitely worth while ;)

More soon

You're definitely off to a good start :)

Should be a really nice project, though the Nebelwerfer with its 90% photoetch parts terrifies me :?

This will interesting to follow, maybe I should build one of my old Italeri Nebelwerfer for comparision, I have a ton of those because my favourite online shop re-issued the kit for 5€ and I have used it to round out orders ;) .
I'll be following this build :D !

Nice choices Rob
Didn't Vinnie build the Nebelwerfer from Lion?
You do have a full bench at the moment

Steve - he certainly did. I'll doubt I'll do mine as much justice. It's the only time I can recall seeing one built.

Raoul - Go for it- the Italeri offerings seem hard to come by nowadays

Rob, nice choices, I built the 11 before and it's a nice kit. So, you don't need that Panzerart tarp as your doing that blown one from the reference pics you posted, right?

Almost forgot, nice load of aftermarket there.....wow!
