Re: Sd.Kfz 251/1 towing leFH 18/40
Getting there Raoul,
I've been away more than here recently too, life and stuff
I have been checking out Wehrmacht camo references as I have 3 figures in camo in one of the 3 projects currently on the go.
I haven't chased you, I guessed you were otherwise distracted, and they are a little way from paint, as in, still being scribbed at work in my lunch breaks
What can I do for you?
Trade, pay, paint heads, whatever you feel is a fair trade, I am open to whatever you wish?
And yes I have offered to paint heads, its not a misprint
Getting back on the horse is aways good, I am feeling the fun and satisfaction of building and painting again, and soldering soon?
Keep at it and just enjoy
Regards
Steve H

Don't feel to bad about the lack of progress Raoul. Nothing wrong with moping around.
I have no excuse why I have not made any progress. I blame myself for trying to add to much extra stuff to my builds not to mention how much time I spend on figures alone. Why I do it.
But at least your making some great progress.
Shawn

Re: Sd.Kfz 251/1 towing leFH 18/40
Phew...Return of the Raoul *cue melodramatic music*
I was absent for that long since I was hospitalized for quite a while because I got a artificial stoma (colostomy that is...) to knock my annoying collection of Crohn's disease caused syrinx...es on their head .
Aaaaanyway, disgusting medical topics aside I continued with the 251C, it's pretty "dark" because it's a grey vehicle for Fall Blau in high summer on the step which generally made the grey vehicles contrast fairly strongly to the more yellowish surroundings, especially once the lower part was completely dusted .
Assorted little things that will eventually end up on or in the vehicle, this usually gets more every step of the way in my builds of open vehicles... I suppose I'm simulating compulsive hoarding becauseI'd totally absolutely never ever do this in real life... ...and yes...that's something like a fifth of my stash...
All oiled up over a gloss coat =>
Best regards

Glad to have you back Raoul. Sorry to here about the medical problems and the colostomy.
Great work on the build though. Need to throw those extras in. Brings it to life.

Raoul - It is Most Excellent to have you back. I'm sorry to hear about the op and ostomy.
The build is looking great - agree with Vincent - you can never have too much clutter
Keep it coming
Rob

Re: Sd.Kfz 251/1 towing leFH 18/40
Thanks Pille, Vincent, Shawn and Rob!
The colostomy is actually a fairly relaxed thing to deal with... I expected worse, way worse .
I went ahead and cluttered the 251, they all have to be cluttered, otherwise it wouldn't be a 251 by me
Machine gun barrels by RB, resin clutter by Black Dog and assorted stuff I still had lying around, maps by...eeeerr... Plusmodel and another company that prints those maps (I've cut off the label in the process of cutting out the maps months ago) .
Best regards
