Of course there's a cat!

Now I'm entering the "assorted stuff on the dio" phase of the build ;) .
Let's start with the resources at hand =>

So far I've built and cut up the telegraph mast =>

I've also build a propaganda board from my huge collection of ice cream sticks  .

I rearranged the projected setup slightly with the new stuff ready to be placed to this =>

I also added some "nails" to the agitprop board - now I need to figure out on what to sit the "cat fancier" .

Oh and in case you're wondering why I have such a high frequency of post right now: I can't sleep, it's that simple - I'm effectively experiencing withdrawal symptoms from getting rid of the Tramadol pain medication I've been taking for the past 4 months ;) .

Love it, Raoul :D

And don't throw away the Tramadol, though it does explain your recent lack of progress too ;)

It does keep and might be useful, one day

Watering the Soviet propaganda, seems to fit the time frame ;)

Time for mud and grass to complete the creation, then an armoured car?

Going well, Raoul

Thanks Steve!

Don't worry, I still have two boxes of Tramadol... I'm way to paranoid to get rid of it for good  .
Time for mud and grass to complete the creation, [...]
There won't really be mud this time, more dusty, dusty road framed by dry grass. ;)

Initial setup with Noch pigmented structure paste. =>

Followed by dust pigments, fixed with dry varnish and complemented by Fredericus Rex dry grass...which ran out and I had to order another couple of sets... ;) =>

Wow Raoul, you are flying along and doesn't it look great too. :D I would have been disappointed if there was no cat.....actually, shocked is a better word. ;)

Cheers,

Thanks Pille, Vincent, Ian! :D

The project is on hold of sorts until the new grass arrives, but I'll maybe do another telegraph mast to create a more balanced diorama...probably on the other side of the road....or maybe the single mast I already have but placed in the left third of the dio.. something to balance it out ;) .

And on we go! (somehow this is another of my "teacher phrases" )

The new grass arrived really swiftly =>
Image

I went over the base (both the road and the grass) again with a mixture of titan-white/ochre pigments =>
Image

Image

And again with the kits and the figures... and yes - the cat guy is still sitting on his sponge  . =>
Image

Getting close to the end^^ (or to put it like the evangelical crowd: THE END IS NIGH!!! REEEPENT! )- the telegraph pole is still not ready and a couple of minor things are still to be done but it's close ;) .

Best regards
