Thanks Philipp and Vincent.

Steve- Thanks for the idea. I just don't know if I have wire small enough to do that. I might and just not remember. When I get home today I will have to look and see what I have.

Finally a day off today so I am hoping to make some more progress. Or I just might sit around the house and do nothing.

I have worked 96 hrs in the last 5 days. :o You read it right 96 hrs.

Ouch - that's a bit emotionally numbing :?
Sitting around doing nothing seems the right sort of thing to do.

BUT - may I just say how Bloody brilliant that camo is. You've got that sorted young Shawn 8-) Now you're in the Groove keep that Vibe going :D I prescribe Splittermuster camo painting as immediate relaxation therapy ;)

Thanks Rob

It was emotionally numbing and back for 24hrs today. The good news is after today I am off for 11 days which will include 6 days at the beach and then 3 days at the AMPS Nationals.

I had to spend some time yesterday painting but to give me a break from the Splittermuster(which I do not recommending prescribing it for relaxation Therapy  ) the next figure will not involve it.

Like the first I left the arms off so it would be easier to paint the ammo pouches.

One thing I want to point out is how big a difference adding highlights and shadows really does make a difference. In this pics the arms only have the base coat. But the figure has two highlight shades and one shadow shade. This makes a dig difference IMHO. I will off course be adding more Highlights and Shadows but one could stop here and still have a great result.

I also used this same color for the pants on the other figure and got the arms touch up with paint.

Enjoy the beach and the show too.

Do you have any entries?

I can see what you mean with the shades and highlights, and appreciate the work you are doing here and sharing with us all.

I have to deal with camo this year, and have a reference book ordered for Wehrmacht camo, to use as a colour/pattern guide.

I have the Calvin Tan SS camo book, but I need Wehrmacht not SS camo.

I once did 102 hours in the 5 days up to Xmas 1983, but that was 1/2 a life time ago, recharge the batteries you deserve it.

Cracking painting Shawn :D

Shawn - that looks very Nice indeed. Are you using washes? Or adding shadows and highlights to the Camo pattern itself :?:

Either way - it's making a heck of a difference

Keep it coming

Thanks Steve and Rob.

Rob- I have not added anything to the camo yet. When I do I will explain how I do it. I will be following Andy Evans SBS he did.

Some further progress and I am now ready for paint. May be changing this up a little again. I think I am still in the guidelines for the GB since I will have the Artilley piece being manned by the crew even though the Kettenkrad is not pulling it.

I also played around with some green stuff and it is amazing how easy this stuff is to work with. You will also see I have decided to replace my tracks with some DS tracks. Normally I hate these things but I think they look much more proportional to this vehicle.

Here is the base I think I am going to use. :D

Two of the figure heads I am using do not have the straps. I made some from foil.

Thats it for now. Hopefully primer today and paint tomorrow.
