IDF 2 1/2 ton and 25 Pounder

Post by Mark Aldrich »

Still not sure about this one. A 25 pounder has a lot of crew and I really stink at figures. Plus....My SCUD (Christmas present from the Wife) arrived yesterday.

Don't worry too much Mark, build it first then think about the figures. ;)
That Hobby Boss truck is one I've been looking at lately. What's it like?

Cheers,
Vincent

You could just build the gun while towed? Two men in the cab might suffice if it's just a transfer away from the frontlines ;)

Looks like two really nice kits there Mark -- looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

Mark- Don't be afraid of the figures embrace them. :D If I can do so can anyone else. I was always the kid in art class who barley passed.

Models really come to life a who lot more with a figure or two. IMHO of course. ;)

The Bronco CCKW is a really nice kit. I know it has been hammered by the misshapen cab but I think it looks fine. Figures do bring it too life and have been looking over my collection. It appears the IDF used the 25 but not the ammo trailer. There are pictures of them being pulled by both the CCKW and Beeps. Could be interesting. I have some black Dog stowage for the Beep. Might go that route. Would just need Driver and possibly Commander that way. Either way, the towing vehicle will be OD and the gun tan.

You know I missed the release of the CCKW, I do like hobbyboss kits.

Be interesting to see your Dragon 25pdr and compare it against mine

I am easy to please. I think the cab looks fine. Those in the "know" say it does not have the proper shape but if it looks like a CCKW then it is.
