Re: QF 25pdr and FAT cab 13
Thanks chaps I'm quite pleased with how its all looking about now, after the trials and tribulations of the pug its come together well, it could still go horribly wrong of course!!!
The SSC2 is very bland and has little depth, so to try and overcome this I mixed up a lightened/ faded version of it and splashed some liberally over the surfaces!
Once the washes have been applied it should start lifting the blandness,
Now the project is put to one side for a little while as I await some D.O.A paints, Andy produces some alternative shades, one being tarmac which I'm hoping will be a good choice for the mickey mouse pattern..........
so what's next?????? Humber MkIV or Universal carrier and 6pdr???? open to suggestions

Well Bro - You'll never guess what I ordered
Some weeks back - I understand thy have a reputation for a slow turn-around. We really should just order double for each other
It all looks Very impressive
I presume you are waiting for the IBG Chevrolet C15A personnel truck with some anticipation

Ah OK, hadn't seen that one!
May give that one a miss, spoke briefly to Libor who let slip there are 4 Morris C8 versions on their way, hopefully one is the soft top

Re: QF 25pdr and FAT cab 13
Had a pop at the Mickey Mouse cloud pattern camouflage, hand painted with Vallejo matt black, I did want to use the D.O.A, blue black but its a tad light, so might work well for weathering? Need to research the colours some more.
anyhow here are my efforts, most is free hand, but a circle template came in very handy in places.
For a first effort I'm pleased, still needs a little touch up here and there to smooth out things.
Next question for anybody watching
What are the grass mat coverings that are being used for bases? and where can they be bought from?

Looks fantastic
Not sure if we mean the same thing but you should probably look for model railway products, there is a lot of potentially useful stuff. Well known German brands are Faller and Noch, not sure if they are widely available in the UK though.
Personally I prefer individual grass tufts, but it depends on what look you try to achieve.
