Thanks Chris, be warned its not an easy kit, I heard the earlier C15's were hard but I think this is more so.

I was looking at the position of where the radiator was to sit, and it became evident it wasn't clear so I decided to assemble the drivers cab/ front end.

Now I don't usually struggle so much with the Mirror models kits, but this is fast becoming the illegitimate child from the liaison of a goat and an electric toaster!!!!

the assembly is produced with a bajillion parts due to the angles, this in turn produces gaps aplenty, the photo etch skid plate for the cab floor is allegedly a straight fit...... nope! I found myself shaving and cutting the etch until it fitted, the doghouse, shown separately should then slot into place! ............ nope!

After the beauty of the 25pdr this is not pleasant! the casting is not so good, the fit therefore is a little off, the instructions are ambiguous on parts placement.

it may of course just be me :?

Anyhow I will leave you this

More later when I have grown some hair back!

You wouldn't guess from the photo that it's an issue to assmble. That'll be down to your skill Vlad 8-)

I think your doing a great job with the Fat, I built the mirror models T-20, it was not that easy, they are not Tamiya quality kits, that is for sure.

Thanks for the great comments folks :D unfortunately I have not been in much of a modelling place of late having lost my job last week due to my health, left me on a bit of a downer and uninspired. As soon as I feel a bit more upbeat, normal service will resume.

I'm really sorry to hear that. :(

But even if it's hard to get started, maybe modelling can help you occupy your mind with more pleasant things?

Hi Vlad

Sad news, I have a feel for your pain and disappointment too.

I had the same in 2010 with the civil service, I thought they would be at least understanding, my mistake

I hope your health will get back onto an even keel soon, and you can find a more understanding organisation somewhere.

It may come from an unexpected place, mine did, and being over 50 it wasn't too bad, bearable and occasionally interesting too.

When you get the spark to build, we will be there for your next update,

be well and be positive, everything comes to those who wait ;)

Best regards
