THanks, guys.

Philipp, thanks for the info and the link. I knew I'd read that somewhere.

I finished the carriage assembly and attached it the "main frame', lower carriage,... There a quite a few fragile parts here, particularly the hand brakes. They were damaged when removed from the sprue.

And here the assembly is attached to the lower carriage.

Tires. The kit comes with either rubber or vinyl tires, I can't tell the difference. But, they have a shine on them. I took some fine emery cloth and roughed the tires up some, removing the shine. There is also a seam around the edge that will have to be removed with a sharp knife.

THis is a pretty quick and easy build. I'll be at the painting stage shortly and that's when I'll pair it up with the M4.

I’ve completed the towing carriage. I see from the pics that I still have a little seam clean up to do. I will have to remove that bar coming off the swivel thingy. Looking at reference pics from prime portal and Toadmans, that bar should be a wire cable.

First coat of paint. I gave the carriage and trunnion a coat of straight Tamiya OD. It's really green for some reason, less brown tint to it. New formula?

I'll get the barrel next and the travel lock added. Then I'll give it all another coat of paint with faded OD. Thanks for looking.

Great progress Steve

The tyres look very "fat"?

Your photography is really good, with crisp close ups, how do you do that!

Or is it really so BIG?

See what you mean about it being very green, the modulation does seem to be helping it though ;)

Nice work :D

There is a Macro function on my camera that allows you to get very close up shots.

kay, construction is completed. I've got all the parts together now: gun tube is on the cradle and the towing doodad is attached to the trail arms.
I used some two part putty to make a tarp to cover the muzzle end of the barrel.

I'll have to touch up some paint and go over it once more with some faded OD. Then I'll weather it.

I also added solder for the pneumatic brake lines.

Time to pair this up with the tractor. THanks for looking.
