Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
How'd I miss this.....looks great. I have this kit in my stash and will be the 3rd, BA-10 I will build. I have PE, Resin and a Turned barrel.... I know it will be a pain, so I'm not too motivated to start it. I know it will be better than the Eastern Express and Zvezda one's I did in the past.

Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
Thanks Greg!
The chassis is nice, the superstructure is nice...and getting them together an absolute nightmare. So, have fun
I did some weathering, but that ended in a couple of minor catastrophes, half of which I just noticed while taking the photo:
Still a little bit of work left...

Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
Thanks again
I needed a break before I fix the paint problems, so I made these two fellows, arguing who lost the keys during their inofficiall hunting trip in the woods:

Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
I'm not really happy with this one, the weathering spiralled out of control after the damage to the basecoat. Anyway, it's going to stay that way now and I'll just add the base and figures and be done with it.
(Except for the hair on the gun mantlet. That's gone now.)

Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
Thanks Vincent
It's the overall distribution of the dust on the vehicle, it looks too random for my taste. Also I should have picked a brighter shade. I tried my luck with some rain marks and similar stuff but that didn't turn out as I expected, so I had to wipe them off again.
I made a start on the base, which as of now consists of a cheap picture frame with a load of earth-water-glue mixture in it

Re: Hobby Boss BA-10
I think I'm done with the base. The glue is still a little wet in some places
"I'm sure you had the keys!"
"ME?"
"I certainly don't have them."
Can you find them?
The grass and plants are mostly model railway products by Faller and Noch. I also used the infamous Forest-in-a-pot stuff, but just a little and mostly covered by better looking ingredients. The brown woody stuff is some weird weed I found in the field. It's probably not that obvious but I wanted to depict a forest road somewhere in the east
Looks like I really have to paint the figures now
