Its been awhile

but a bit more

Philipp, good call! the Eduard set is made for the Italeri kit, not the Hipm, so it doesn't quite fit!
It started like this
Image
And ended like this
Image
And progress to date, with the starting cast
Image
The cast still to be finished, perhaps all 7 or maybe just 5?
The Panzer officer on the right is already starring in a Pz I A scenario
Image
Not sure yet!
The turret is primed with Mr Surfacer, the rest with Halford's car body primer

Excellent work, considering the base material! :D

Great job beautifying the decidedly underwhelming 6-rad 232 Steve!

Since my towed artillery build is moving into it's final stages it's time to consider armoured cars....hm... I have a ton of those and your blog pushes me into the early war/mid-late 30s direction...

Current progress and thanks for all your comments chaps

A base coat of Japanese uniform, it is actually more horrid in real life than the photos show!!

Modulation of the base next, then hard edged 3 camo on the Adler and a softer AB camo on the 232

With the base coat down it looks way better than it initially seemed to have any right to!
To deal with such a substandart kit and turn out such a greatly enhanced detail level requires a great deal of skill :o  .

Looking forward to the camo on these two!

Thanks Raoul

Its been longer than I thought, though your comment has made me think about how to paint the the 232

I have AB'd the Adler but the light has taken the green away?

I will need to tighten up the overspray and I will hand paint the camo on the 232 with a more ""out of the factory"" look against a more weathered Adler.

It needs to look fresher to complement all the PE I managed to attach

Here she is

And the B/W comparisons

More soon?

Good to see progress on these two Steve. :) The colours looks very bright to me. It could be the camera settings?

Most likely Vincent

it was twilight, all the room lights on and all the green patches almost disappeared!

Day off Thursday, so some better photos and hopefully the overspray dealt with too.
