Re: M12 155mm GMC
Thanks Rob
So I'm sure I posted this the other day, but appears my brain fog allowed me to not hit the submit button
Take two!
Primer, basic Halfords grey, worked a treat!
And then my green of choice, Lifecolor OD
For a 14 year old project its nice to finally see it with colour on, and possibly close to finished

Re: M12 155mm GMC
This looks great! I loved the kit. Other than a couple weird assembly steps and I personally think the provided spade cable is too thin but to change that means changing the size of the pulleys that it feeds through.

Cheers guys
Philipp you go get one, blame me if you it makes it easier
I agree with you re the thread Mark, its a little on the thin side, and as you say the castors are small. Finding the balance I guess

Re: M12 155mm GMC
Blimey! has it really been best part of two months since I last updated this
How time flies
So anyway, an update lightened the centre of the panels with a faded OD shade, then ran through all of the detail painting, tools, seats, barrel rods, tyres and that was it Gotta love the allied vehicles , so while that dried off I painted the tracks and then fitted them! and then gave it a coat of a popular brand of floor polish
And finally decals, apparently this vehicle saw action at Aachen, but no unit details are given, I'm sure with a little digging this could be discovered fairly easily, there can't have been many M12 units serving in the area.
Anyhoo, here are a few pikkies
Next up, how to ruin it with the weathering in a few easy steps!

Looking real good Vlad
Philipp
No expert on the M12 either, but to my knowledge the handful that saw service all ended up in that sector to knock out Westwall bunkers. Don't know about the unit either.Vlad Seabrook-Smith wrote: And finally decals, apparently this vehicle saw action at Aachen, but no unit details are given, I'm sure with a little digging this could be discovered fairly easily, there can't have been many M12 units serving in the area.
