I've made a base, using various bits of plywood, natural earth, white glue and a bit of clear glossy paint:

Normally these types of road would be made from more naturally shaped logs and branches, but let's assume they came upon a large shipment of lumber to reinforce their field HQ

Yeah, the edges still need some cleanup and then a bit of neutral black paint.

Nice base Philipp,

looks like you will be making a small hole on the shelf of doom ;)

Just the figures to finish then?

Have fun

Shawn, Steve, thank you!

It's been far too long again, so I should at least post some progress...In my defense, I did spend a weekend rebuilding my workbench - note the distinctive lack of clutter in the background

I decided to break up the brown monotony of the base with a bit of melting snow, made from baking soda. Some of it turned a little yellow, so I had to fix that by adding more on top... The signpost was mostly scratchbuilt with thin plywood, a toothpick and whatever leftover decals and transfer letters I could find. From top to bottom: Stab GD (staff), HVP=Hauptverbandsplatz (forward-area field hospital), Instandsetzung (Maintenance).

I think I'm done here

(please disregard the Soviet tankers having an orgy in the background)

And it only took me....*looks at old photo timestamps* 8 years!

Proper gallery photos once the paint has dried and the camera battery is recharged  I'm sure I'll also find some little things to touch up in the meantime.

Thank you Vincent, it was a fun build, even though it took a little long

Now let's finish that Soviet armoured sports car and maybe then I'll even start something new for the GB 8-)

I wish it was only a shelf

Boxes and boxes of nearly finished GB's, and hundreds of built and primed figures too

It might be a winter of catch up when Boris finally realises he is a complete nincompoop and puts some lockdown measures back into place.

We really are the "Sick Man of Europe"" at the moment!

50,000 new cases a day and rising!

Well done Philipp, leading by example, onto the next one?

Thank you gentlemen :D

One down, way more than I could count at the moment to go... :?

This is about half of all my unfinished business:

Steve, take care over there....I really can't quite fathom how that fudgeling snollygoster hasn't been booted from Downing Street yet...
